Our Story

About CountdownClock

CountdownClock is a free online countdown timer and world clock at countdownclock.com, built for anyone who likes to keep an eye on the moments that matter — and on the time around the world.

What We Do

CountdownClock turns dates into live, ticking countdowns. Whether you're waiting for Christmas, the next public holiday, the first day of summer, an astronomical event, or a personal milestone you've set yourself, CountdownClock shows you exactly how much time is left — down to the second. The built-in World Clock does the same job for space instead of time, letting you see the current hour in cities across every continent at a glance.

The whole tool runs in your browser. There's no account to create, nothing to download, and no setup. Open the page and it immediately detects your local time and starts counting.

Why We Built It

Most countdown tools are either cluttered, slow, or locked behind sign-ups. We wanted something different: a fast, clean, genuinely useful page that loads instantly and respects your time and attention. The design is deliberately minimal — bold type, a single accent colour, and clear numbers — so the information is the focus, not the interface. We also added a dark mode for late-night planning and made sure everything works just as well on a phone as on a desktop.

What Makes CountdownClock Different

How CountdownClock Is Funded

CountdownClock is free to use and is supported by advertising. This lets us keep the tool open to everyone without subscriptions or paywalls. You can read exactly how advertising and cookies work on our Privacy Policy page.
