Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CountdownClock ("we", "us", or "our"), available at v4clock.com (the "Site"), handles information when you visit. We've kept it deliberately plain. In short: CountdownClock is a free countdown timer and world clock that runs in your browser, we don't ask you to create an account, and we don't collect personal information directly. The one area that involves third parties is advertising, which is described in detail below.
Information We Collect
Information you provide: None is required. You can use every feature of the Site without giving us your name, email, or any other personal detail. If you choose to email us via our Contact page, we will receive the email address and message you send, and use them only to reply.
Information stored on your device: Some features use your browser's local storage to remember your preferences — for example, whether you've chosen dark mode. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings. Custom countdowns you create exist only in your current browser session.
Information collected automatically: Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard technical log data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, for security and basic analytics. In addition, third-party advertising and analytics partners may collect information through cookies as described below.
Cookies & Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences such as dark mode, and our advertising partners use them to select and measure ads. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can disable them entirely — though some features may not work as intended if you do.
Advertising & Third-Party Ad Partners
CountdownClock is free to use and is funded by advertising. Ads on this Site are served by third-party advertising partners, currently from the domains quge5.com, 5gvci.com, n6wxm.com and acscdn.com. We do not sell ads directly, and we do not choose which specific adverts you see.
The ad formats used on this Site include:
- A full-screen interstitial that may cover the page and must be dismissed before you continue reading.
- Automatically selected formats chosen by one partner on its own, which may include pop-unders that open an advertiser's page in a separate tab or window.
- Browser push notifications, described in the section below.
- Sponsored links, which are labelled as such and lead to third-party advertisers.
The following disclosures apply:
- Our advertising partners and their own downstream partners use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to select and measure ads, including on the basis of your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Information these partners may process includes your IP address, approximate location, ISP, browser and device type and version, screen size, language, time zone, and interactions with the ads shown.
- You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating vendors at www.aboutads.info, the NAI opt-out tool, or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
- Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies and pop-ups entirely through their settings.
Once you follow an advert or sponsored link away from this Site, you are on a third party's website and this policy no longer applies. We do not control those destinations or the data they collect, and we recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any site you land on.
Push Notifications
This Site may ask for your permission to send browser push notifications. These are delivered by a third-party advertising partner and contain advertising. Notifications are sent only if you explicitly click “Allow” on your browser's permission prompt — if you dismiss or block it, nothing is sent and the Site works exactly as before.
You can withdraw permission at any time, and it takes effect immediately:
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Notifications, then remove this site.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Permissions → Notifications → Settings.
- Safari: Settings → Websites → Notifications.
- Or use the padlock/settings icon in your browser's address bar while on this Site.
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These can include the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, and the right to object to certain processing such as personalised advertising. Because we do not maintain accounts or personal profiles, most requests relate to advertising cookies, which you can manage using the opt-out links above or your browser controls. If you have a request, contact us using the details below.
Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to other websites — for example, time-zone references or advertisers' pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and this policy applies only to CountdownClock.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
